New District Justice - District XXIV
9/2/2010: Congratulations to Patrick Murphrey (Washington) on his appointment as the new District Justice in District XXIV. Patrick was a member of the P.A.D. Pre-Law Chapter at Christopher Newport University where he served as President. He was also a chartering member of the Washington Chapter at Regent University and served as its first Justice.
 
New District Justice - District XXVI
8/27/2010: Congratulations to Allison Cochran (Cherry Chapter), who has been appointed as District Justice of District XXVI. As a recent graduate from Florida A&M University School of Law, Allison is patiently awaiting her bar results. Allison is excited about getting involved in the District.

Mock Trial Competition: Law School Chapters
8/18/10: Just uploaded! The 2011 Registration Form for the Mock Trial Competition for Law School Chapters! The competition will be held in Crystal City, VA which is right outside of Washington DC. Enjoy the sites of Washington DC March 4-6, 2011 and free shuttle service to and from the host hotel. The hotel rate is just $99.00 + tax. The first 30 teams to register are gauranteed a spot in the competition. DEADLINE: December 1, 2010!
 
2010 District Conference Schedule Posted
8/18/2010: The 2010 District Conference Schedule has been posted to the Law School Chapters page. District Conferences are open to all students, however, Chapter officers must attend.
 
New District Justice - District IX
8/18/2010: Congratulations to Joshua Rouse (Houston), who has been appointed as District Justice of District IX. Josh is a law clerk at a family law firm in Houston as well as a 3L at the South Texas College of Law. He was instrumental in reactivating the Houston Chapter, where he served as Justice during the last year.
 
2010 Pre-Law Mock Trial Case Released - There's Been a Murder in Padland!

We are pleased to release the case for the 2010 Mock Trial Competition. The Mock Trial Competition is a part of the 2010 Pre-Law Conference and all competitors must register for both the Conference and Mock Trial Competition. Attendance at all Pre-Law Conference events is required for Mock Trial competitors. 

This year's case, Commonwealth of Padland v. Legan Arabach, is a criminal case involving the murder of an immigrant financial analyst employed by one Hillanddale’s most historic investment firms. To download the case, click here

In Memoriam: Matthew "Sandy" Rae (Rutledge)

8/11/2010: On Tuesday, August 3rd, Phi Alpha Delta suffered a tremendous loss with the passing of Past Supreme Justice Matthew "Sandy" Rae. Throughout his many years in P.A.D., Sandy touched many members' lives and left behind a lasting legacy.

John F. Weitkamp (Ford), Chairman of the International Advisory Board, has written a tribute to Sandy which can be dowloaded below.
